Teerth Rao secures 5th place in Thane District DSO

Teerth Rao secured 5th spot in Thane District DSO held on 27-28th September at Vasant Vihar High School. Aged 11, he was eligible to play in under 14 category. However,his school placed him in under 17 category. He scored 6/7 and tied with the second place. He will now represent Thane District in Division level tournament.

Anusha Sharma bags 2nd prize in Ajmera I Land monsoon carnival

Anusha Sharma stood 2nd in the recently concluded Ajmera I Land monsoon carnival with a score of 6/7. She tied with Viha Shah for the first spot with 6 points,however because of lower bucholz slipped to 2nd place.

Sidharth Kumar, Omkar Pattanshetty, Aayush Vanzara shine in Ajmera I Land Monsoon Chess League

Following were the results of our students in the recently concluded Ajmera I Land Monsoon Chess League: Sidharth Kumar clinched the 5th prize in under 10 category. Omkar Pattanshetty clinched the 7th prize in Under 10 Category. Aayush Vanzara stood 11th in Under 14 category.

 

Achievements

  • Our open Rapid tournament on 8th July attracted 250 registrations of which 105 were International rated players.3 International masters participated in this event.

  • CCC organized an event for the blind people on 30th June with one of the highest prize funds ever given in a 1 day open rapid tournament anywhere in india. Entry was free for all participants. The event was supported by All India Chess Federation for the Blind and Neptune foundation.

  • Our event at Neptune Magnet Mall was termed as one of the best tournaments ever organized in india by each and every participant.Prizes worth 15 Lakhs were awarded.

  • Chanakya Chess Club has more than 2000 kids learning its banner.

  • First ever club to have a Grand Master as its Brand ambassador.

  • GM Master Abhijit Kunte, Pune was BA from Oct 2006- March 2007.

  • Only club in India to organize U-6 regularly.

  • Organizes tournaments across all boards viz. CBSE, ICSE, IB and other boards.

  • Organizes an annual event “Queens Day Out” with an important social message “Save the Girl Child”

  • Regularly organizes Quiz for parents of the participant.

  • CCC sponsors children for State & National levels.

  • More than 17 schools in Mumbai are affiliated to CCC.
